Philosophy:
At Copeland Environmental we know that by submitting clear and concise application materials, we make the permitter’s
job easier and get the results our client’s need to move their
projects forward in timely manner.
Copeland
Environmental was founded by Kim A. Copenhaver, an
Environmental Biologist and Regulatory Specialist. Kim has worked
at all three levels of government in the field of environmental
regulation and watershed management.
Kim holds a degree in Environmental Biology. Her
resume includes positions with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
- Regulatory
Branch, the New York State Department of Environmental
Conservation - Division of Regulatory Affairs, and The Town of
Clifton Park. She has successfully completed numerous
professional development courses
in the fields of environmental assessment, state and federal
regulatory
compliance, wetlands development and
hydrology, stream and riparian corridor assessment, erosion and
sediment control and wetland delineation.
Kim’s
experience behind the permitter’s desk has given her an
in-depth understanding of government environmental programs and
their process. She has cultivated many personal and
professional relationships with established agency
representatives. In
addition to her 10 years of public service experience, she brings over 20
years of combined experience in horticulture, landscape
management, marketing and small business development skills to the
firm.
Memberships: Society of Wetland Scientists,
Saratoga County Builders Association, New York State Wetlands Forum, Saratoga
County Chamber of Commerce, Southern Saratoga County Chamber of
Commerce, Rensselaer County Chamber of Commerce, The Land Trust
of Saratoga, Saratoga Springs Open Space Project.
